“ Casa Algarvia really surprised me. For such a small town, this place serves up food that’s honestly better than a lot of big city restaurants I’ve tried. The fish was super fresh, cooked simply but perfectly, letting the flavor speak for itself. What really stood out though was the spaghetti with shrimp – easily the best I’ve had in a long time. The pasta was cooked just right and the shrimp tasted like they came straight from the ocean. It’s not a fancy spot, but that’s what makes it so good. Just honest, delicious food that makes you feel lucky to have found it. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. A bit expensive but worth trying. ”
“ We ordered the house special cataplana, big portion with fresh seafood and coriander, good but a bit salty. The steak was a bit terrible, we asked for medium well but it seemed to come well done, not recommended. Also the fish soup tasted amazing with a lot of salmon inside which is a surprise for me, and the portion is large, definitely recommended this dish! ”
“ A busy place and with good reasons. Better make reservations or get in early. We tried the cataplana, fish soup, sala dand sausage. All were pretty good. We found the cataplana is surprisly good as it has different aroma due to some kind of spcies which makes the soup really tasty. The fish soup was also quite fresh. Do not miss the cataplana if you are in town. ”
“ I ordered the mixed meat plate as a suggestion of the chef and was satisfied! 3 different kinds of meat, grilled to the point and a typical Portuguese sausage. The starters were with a good tuna and salmon pate and regional cheese. Will definitely come back again, for a nice dinner. Update: Once again a pleasure to be here. The food and the staff are amazing! Thank you! ”
“ Nice rustic looking restaurant, friendly helpful staff who where knowledgeable about my son’s coeliac disease, chilled atmosphere. Food was all good if I was to be really picky my garlic mushrooms could of done with a bit more garlic and my steak was a little over done but still tasted good. ”
